                                                          HEALTH ALERT!!

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

There has been a case of PINK EYE reported in your child's school.

PINK EYE is either a viral or bacterial eye infection that can be passed from one
person to another by direct and indirect contact with discharges from the eyes and
nose of an infected person.
If you notice any of these symptoms, please call your doctor for directions for care.
When returning to school a note from your child’s doctor will be needed stating
that your child is well enough to be in school and is not able to spread the illness to
others

REMEMBER!!!

You can help stop the spread of PINK EYE by notifying your
child's school, school nurse, doctor and anyone else with whom your child has had any contact.

If you have any questions, please call the school office.

Thank you!

What do i think professional dress is? I really didn't get to watch the what not to wear episode you posted because it had been removed, but i tried to find some others that had to to with professional dress. What I have learned about professional wear just by going to interviews and even classes, is what       you wear and how present yourself is what people think about you. In our case for child care of course you can't wear a full suit to work, but when you come to work have a clean nice ironed uniform on, show pride in the clothes you wear. That would be professional in childcare. Do not look like you just rolled out of bed, that's not the first thing your employer wants to see, and that looks bad on the company. That is what i think about professional wear when it comes to childcare.

I honestly can say this is a very good question, because I have never really had that done to me before. I               am always the one that always make friends and try and keep the peace. If someone had ever done that to me i have never paid it any attention. Little things like that do not bother me. When someone has ever been mad at me and tried not to talk to me, I kind of forced them to talk to me, and no not in a bad way. It was always something so small as in "you look very nice today", or "I hope you have a good day". I am and never will be that person that keeps that weird feeling between two people.

2.1 - This is quite interesting because we just had this happen a few days ago. We had to explain to the parent just because this class is clear of the allergy we still have children that come into this class from next door that have a allergy, and we want to keep all of our children and staff safe, I would also tell the parent that we could maybe do something else, like offer something that all the children could eat.

In this case I would tell the staff member that I can work really hard with the scheduling. I know that everyone has certain request, the only thing a director can do is try hard to do his or her best with trying to make that happen, but also I feel that the staff member should talk to a couple of other members to see if they wouldn't mind due to the circumstances.

2.2 - Of course I would so mad it would be really hard to say something to this teacher right then and there. but I would take some time to get my thoughts together and calm down. Then I would go to the teacher and tell her thank you for thinking my ideas were pretty cool, but I would also tell her to make sure she ask me to use my work, I know it would be fine but at least get my permission.

I would apologize to the parent, and let him know if we need to sit with the director we can. I also would tell him if I had seen this I would have reported to him, and had filled out an accident report. I would also tell the father I will keep a close eye on his child to insure that this will not happen again,

Activity 1.1- As I begin to think about the frequent people that I interact with, it is the child, child's parents, the director, and other teachers. Those are the most frequent people i interact with on a day to day basis

Activity 1.2 - I have this same situation going on now in my class, and I feel that you should also let the parent know that you will be notifying the parent of the child who bit, so they do know that you are taking the proper action. I always notify both parents of the child.

Activity 1.3- I really think this is a great company I work for, atmosphere is great, staff is on top of things, and management handles everything to the T for the most part.
I really feel that the school is affordable, you have great teachers who are well trained and experienced to provide great care for the child. We go by an awesome curriculum and our curriculum director makes sure everything is in place for the whole month. I always here the saying you get what you pay for, and I feel like that at the school i work at. One strength that we have is that  when we transition our kids up to a new room they get to visit through out the week before they fully transition, that is getting them use to the new environment. also we always try and move up in groups so that child will always be moving up with something they know.  Another strength i can think of is we have more than one playground, and they are all split up by age groups,  toddlers have their own, early preschool have their own, preschool and Pre-k share one, and infants have their on. With that we keep less traffic off the playgrounds and less injuries. The one big thing that we have a small issue is TURNOVER, and thats going to happen any and everywhere you go.
